About Me
I am 27 years old and have been around animals ever since I can remember. I have worked and ridden horses from the age of 8. I have competed at low level dressage and eventing and now look after other peoples horses and ride when I can.
Having grown up with a variety of animals including cats, dogs, horses and small animals it was inevitable that they would be a part of my life. In 2008 I began studying at Harper Adams University where I gained a BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour and Welfare in 2012. My degree gave me knowledge and understanding of behaviour, health, care and welfare of many animals from livestock to companion animals.
After University I went travelling and combined this with my love of animals. I volunteered at Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary; caring and feeding orphaned and injured wildlife including lions, leopards, wild dogs and baboons.
I also spent 4 months working at Langkawi LASSIE Sanctuary. I worked with the shelter dogs; exercising, feeding and supervising socialisation. I also looked after the 2 cat colonies feeding cleaning and socializing them ready for adoption. Work also involved helping out at the veterinary clinic looking after the inpatients including abandoned kittens and puppies.
My previous animal roles include:
I am very luck to live in a lovely house with a large garden surrounded by fields. I currently own 2 cats and a 7 year old Spaniel X rescue. I hate leaving my animals when I go away and want them to have the best possible care. This is why I am so passionate about providing the best care for your animals.
